Why Won’t Matchmaking Start?
Racket Rivals matchmaking not working can leave you waiting in the hub instead of getting onto the court. The important distinction is whether you’re still finding a match, transferring servers, or waiting for an opponent to load. Read the message on your screen before deciding what to do next.
A failed teleport has previously prevented players from entering matches. On September 21, 2025, a teleport issue affected both matchmaking and the transfer out of the tutorial. Roblox’s teleport system could return a success response without actually moving players, and automatic retries also failed.
That incident was fixed. It explains how matchmaking can stall even after a transfer appears to start, but it doesn’t establish the cause of a new interruption.
If you’re stuck leaving the tutorial, recognize that as a transfer problem too: during that incident, the same failure affected newcomers and players trying to enter matches.
Read the Matchmaking Message Before Leaving
The queue and the match-loading screen represent different stages. Use the wording on your screen to identify where you are.

Still searching for a match
Give the search time to work. Matchmaking has taken 20 seconds in one attempt and 1 minute, 22 seconds in another, so an immediate match isn’t guaranteed.
Don’t treat passing the shorter wait as proof that the queue has broken. Those times aren’t a timeout rule or a promise about your next match.
“Finding best server. Do not leave.”
Stay in the game while this message is active. This is the server-transfer stage, and the instruction explicitly tells you to remain connected.
A queue that finds a match but never moves you onward resembles the earlier teleport failure. Changing how you play on the court won’t address a transfer that hasn’t completed.
“Waiting for all players to join.”
You’ve reached a different stage: the match is waiting for its participants. This message appeared before a 1v1 began, while the other player was still joining.
Wait for the opponent to arrive rather than interpreting the screen as another search for a server.
Check Your Party Before Entering the Queue
The matchmaking update introduced 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 choices, along with a party invitation system.

When playing with friends:
- Invite them through the party interface.
- Wait for them to join your party.
- Select the matchmaking mode you intend to play together.
Sending an invitation and having a friend join are separate steps. Complete the party setup before starting your search so you aren’t expecting an unanswered invitation to bring someone into the match.
To enter the experience again, use the Racket Rivals Roblox game page. Once inside, pay attention to whether the delay happens during party setup, the queue, or the server transfer—that distinction is the most useful detail to include when reporting a persistent problem.
