Choosing a spirit shapes which abilities you bring onto the court. This Racket Rivals spirits tier list puts Gazo and Jin at the top of the December 23, 2025 rankings, with seven spirits ranked overall. Use those placements to narrow your spin targets, then learn how abilities interact with passes, sets, and awakenings.
Spirit Rankings: S Tier Through D Tier
| Tier | Spirits |
|---|---|
| S | Gazo, Jin |
| A | Gomu, Hinari |
| B | Kyoki |
| C | Senshu |
| D | Gojin |
Gazo and Jin share the highest placement; neither has a separate ranking above the other. Gomu and Hinari form the next tier down.
Use the tiers as a starting point when choosing what to pursue. Keep playing a spirit you enjoy while learning its interactions—an ability still needs the right timing and teamwork to turn a rally into a point.
How to Unlock More Spirits
Find the Spirits NPC and use spins to roll for new spirits. The result depends on luck, so getting a particular target can take multiple attempts.

Keep the different unlock systems straight:
- Spirits: Visit the Spirits NPC to roll for spirits with abilities.
- Awakenings: Visit the Awakenings NPC for the separate ultimate-ability system.
Redeem codes can provide spins and rolls. Use those rewards when pursuing another spirit, but remember that a roll does not guarantee the one you want.
Make Your Spirit Ability Count
In Racket Rivals on Roblox, spirits, rackets, and awakenings are separate parts of your setup. During a rally, keep these controls within reach:

- 1: Activate your ability.
- 2: Activate your awakening.
- E: Set.
- Q: Dash.
Counter Freeze With an Awakening
The freeze timer continues during an awakening, allowing the freeze to expire while the awakening plays out.
When an opponent freezes the shuttle low near the floor, activate your awakening to answer it. Ground Slam adds another useful interaction: it knocks opponents into the air and slows their movement, making the return harder.
Save that response for the freeze timing instead of spending your awakening without considering the opponent's ability.
Pass the Overheat Effect to a Teammate
Overheat's fire effect stays on the shuttle when you pass it to a teammate. That lets another player deliver the burning shot rather than making the original ability user take the attack.
Use Overheat before passing, then let your teammate finish the play. The opposing team needs a set or a suitable spirit ability to remove the fire effect.
Coordinate Your Passing Lanes
Alternate between passes toward the side and passes toward the middle. A teammate receiving in the middle can attack either side or drop the shuttle through the center, giving opponents more angles to cover.
Tell your teammate where the pass is going. Combine that communication with your spirit ability so the receiver knows whether to prepare a normal attack or carry an effect into the next shot.
