How to Get the Halloween Spotlight Key

The Racket Rivals halloween key required two objectives in order: earn the Rune by hitting the Shuttle through 25 Rings, then get six wins. Completing that sequence awarded the Key and its matching badge for progression in Roblox’s Halloween Spotlight event. These objectives belonged to the 2025 event, which ended November 3, 2025.

Keep the event names straight when looking at your badges. Key Badge (Halloween Spotlight) and Rune Badge (Halloween Spotlight) belong to the 2025 objectives. Trickster Badge belongs to the separate Flick or Treat event in 2026.

Start With the Witch and Earn the Rune

The Rune came first, and its objective required 25 separate rounds at minimum because only one Ring could count per round.

The 2025 quest followed this sequence:

1. Find the Witch near the Courts. She stood on the left side, with a Roblox logo above her head.
2. Speak to her about the event. Select Start after her explanation to begin the first objective.
3. Hit the Shuttle through your Rings during matches. Each player received their own randomly spawning Rings.
4. Complete 25 successful Ring shots across separate rounds. Finishing the objective awarded the Rune and Rune Badge (Halloween Spotlight).

The individual Ring mechanic mattered when playing with friends: your teammates could not see your Rings, and you could only score through the ones that spawned for you.

Aim for your own Ring instead of following a teammate’s target. Once you have scored a Ring in a round, focus on the match; another Ring cannot add progress during that same round.

For the standard PC controls, Left Click swings the racket, while holding Left Click performs a Power Swing. Those are separate inputs, so pay attention to whether you are tapping or holding when lining up the Shuttle.

Earn Six Wins After the Rune

With the Rune unlocked, the remaining objective was six wins. Completing it awarded both the Key and Key Badge (Halloween Spotlight).

Start your six-win push after earning the Rune. The quest’s sequence placed the wins after the Ring objective, so earning the Rune was the milestone to finish before concentrating on the Key.

Racket Rivals uses a fast-paced 3v3 format. Queue with a friend and coordinate your play while working toward those wins. The Ring stage required successful shots across separate rounds; the Key stage required wins, so keep those two goals distinct.

The Rune and Key served as progression items in the wider Halloween Spotlight experience, where opening paths helped players earn UGC items. Earning the Key completed this part of the event’s Racket Rivals objectives.
